Only Telehealth is now available. Individuals with a mental health plan will get $86.15 back through medicare. You must have the full amount in your bank account to pay the bill. Then the invoice will be sent to you and you can claim it from Medicare using MyGov.

Unfortunately, Medicare rebates are not available for couple therapy. However, you can possibly use your health insurance to make a claim – depending on your extras cover. Payment will be made by Eftpos at the time of your appointment. We do not accept payment later.

Bulk Billing

In order to qualify for bulk billing, which means that Medicare will cover your fee and there will be no out-of-pocket expenses, Medicare now state, you need:

  • a Commonwealth concession card
  • to be a child under the age of 16
  • a Medicare card
  • a mental health plan from your GP
  • or patients who are more vulnerable to COVID-19


You are also restricted to book between 9am and 5pm Tuesday to Friday. The first available is 9am and the last available is 4pm. If you book outside of these hours, the normal fees above will be charged.

Vulnerable means

a patient at risk of COVID-19, so a person who:

  • is required to self-isolate or self-quarantine in accordance with guidance issued by the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee in relation to COVID-19; or
  • is at least 70 years old; or
  • if the person identifies as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Descent – is at least 50 years old; or
  • is pregnant; or
  • is the parent of a child aged under 12 months; or
  • is being treated for a chronic health condition; or
  • is immune compromised; or
  • meets the current national triage protocol criteria for suspected COVID-19 infection.
  • The services will be available until 30 September with continuing availability reviewed on or prior to 30 September 2020.
