This is well below the recommended fee by the Australian Psychologist Society of $251.00. Payment can be made by Eftpos at the time of your visit. We do not accept payment later.
You may be able to claim health insurance if your policy covers you for psychology services. We are able to process your health insurance for you to save you time doing it later. You will only need to pay the gap. Unfortunately, we are not able to process HBF and you will need to contact HBF to claim your rebate.
If you have a mental health care plan from your GP, we are able to process your medicare claim for you. You will need to have the full amount in your bank account. Then the medicare rebate of $86.15 is paid into your savings or cheque account. Medicare will not pay rebates into a credit card.
Please note that Medicare does not cover couple counselling or EMDR.
Bulk Billing
In order to qualify for bulk billing, which means that Medicare will cover your fee and there will be no out-of-pocket expenses, you need:
- a mental health plan from your GP
- be unemployed or a full time student
- have a Centrelink concession card, and,
- a Medicare card
You are also restricted to book between 9am and 5pm Tuesday to Friday. The first available is 9am and the last available is 4pm. If you book outside of these hours, the normal fees above will be charged.
